I am Damian Pristov
Based at Lake Bled, I have spent more than a decade photographing weddings, elopements, proposals, and couple sessions across Slovenia for couples from more than 30 countries.
I know how much a destination celebration depends on small practical details — light, timing, privacy, weather, and how naturally the day can move from one place to the next.
My role is to bring calm guidance without taking over. I photograph in a documentary way, with a refined editorial finish: gently directing when it helps, and stepping back when the real moments are happening.
Most couples tell me afterwards that they forgot the camera was there. That is always the intention — to let the day feel natural, while creating photographs that feel honest, elegant, and deeply connected to place.

Yes. I am happy to arrange a video call or, if you are visiting Slovenia while planning, a coffee in person. It matters that you feel comfortable with my approach before making a decision.
Can you help us feel relaxed in front of the camera?
Always. Most of my couples are not used to being photographed—and that is completely fine. My process is quiet and unhurried; most people find that within a few minutes, they have stopped thinking about the camera entirely.
Do you travel beyond Lake Bled?
Yes. While I am based at the lake, I photograph weddings across Slovenia—including the Julian Alps, Ljubljana, the Vipava Valley, and the Slovenian coast. I am happy to talk through the logistics of any location you have chosen.
